Spotlight on League of Legends streamers: who is Tyler1?

Tyler1 recently became a big talking point in the LoL community to be featured on the official League of Legends Twitter page. Right now, Tyler1 is one of the most notable streamers in the League of Legends community. However, although it has been for a very long time, the reason for its notoriety has taken a drastic turn over the years. If you’re not quite sure who Tyler1 is, here’s the story of the most REFORMED NA player.

Tyler1’s history with the League of Legends game is tumultuous. At the start of the game, he gained notoriety by being an extremely toxic player. The clips would go viral from his Twitch stream during times when he grieved players and raged during matches. Eventually, Riot stepped in and allowed him to leave the platform.

If you’re unfamiliar with Riot’s permaban accounts, here’s how they got Tyler1 off the platform. Normally, if a player’s account gets banned, they lose their profile, but technically they can still play under a new name starting at 0. In the case of Tyler1, their username has been banned, so not only has they been banned. lost the main account, but he also lost his smurfs too and couldn’t create new profiles anymore.

It took a while, but eventually Tyler1 reformed his attitude and completely rebranded himself as an online personality. Fans actually started campaigning for him to get his profile back and it ultimately worked. Seeing that and noticing how much of an online presence he had, Riot was almost forced to give him his account. The attention he would bring to the game would be huge given his long history with him.

So Tyler1 gets his profile back, well, not exactly. Although he recovered his identification documents, it was impossible to recover his old profiles. But maybe it wasn’t all a bad thing, it was a whole new start for Tyler1 in League of Legends and with a new account he started his ascent.

On September 23, Tyler1 hit Challenger in the middle lane. This is his third time climbing from Unranked to Challenger, where in the past he has done so both on the top lane and in the jungle. He continues to be one of the most entertaining and notable LoL Twitch streamers. For hitting the challenger down the middle lane, Riot congratulated him on League of Legends’ Twitter with a personalized graphic of him and Annie who at one point had second place in the world on the champion.
