Booker T has given his thoughts on AEW’s next video game. The Hall of Fame also briefly compared it to WWE’s first match and noted that they didn’t do a great job either.
Elite Wrestling’s very first console game is titled “Fight Forever”. The Jacksonville-based promotion recently released the first gameplay footage for the title, which featured Nyla Rose and Kris Statlander. However, a specific release date for the game has yet to be announced.
In the recent edition of Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, he claimed that the first impression of the AEW video game would be their lasting impression. He also mentioned that the company will still be allowed to develop a better version the following year.
The former world champion concluded his statement by saying that it took WWE years to build the video game engine and establish it. Booker T said:
“This video game thing is tricky, man. The first impression is going to be the lasting impression. Of course, they’re going to have time to do it again, make another one the next year, trying to improve this stuff but the reason I say that is because the WWE video game their first also screwed up so it takes years to build that engine. Booker T also shared his thoughts on AEW’s roster size
In the last edition of Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T claimed he doesn’t look down on Tony Khan for what he’s currently doing with AEW.
The two-time Hall of Famer also highlighted how Khan provided a platform for several superstars and how the company showcased them. The Hall of Fame said:
“They try to get a lot of guys on the show and highlight as many things as they can. A lot gets lost in the shuffle of course. I’m not going to sit here and look down on Tony Khan. He signed a group of independent guys who would never have had the opportunity to work on a large scale.Thunder Rosa is the champion, not too long ago she was wrestling in Reality of Wrestling. So for someone one like Thunder getting that shot to be on mainstream TV and being called the champion of the world is awesome He’s doing a big thing Is that the recipe for success He’s there to be seen “
It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan continues to add new names to his already stacked roster heading to Double or Nothing on May 29.
