Hogwarts Legacy, the Harry Potter prequel game, is delayed again

Hogwarts Legacythe Harry Potter prequel game, was delayed a second time according to to a tweet on the game’s official Twitter account.

The delay pushes the game back from its 2022 launch date to February 10, 2023. In January last year, developer Portkey Games said the delay was to ensure the game gets “the time it needs”. Today’s statement echoes that sentiment as the developers once again say the game needs more time.

Anyway, in other news, and for no reason, I hear Two-point campus is actually quite good. There is also the recent The Sims 4 expansion High school years (which came with a pretty robust and inclusive update on sexuality.) Oh! There is also The Sims 4: realm of magic expansion pack, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses if you want a little more action and fantasy (you turn into a dragon!) in your school video game. While we’re at it, I’ll get started Persona 5 Royal because it’s fantastic and it absolutely counts as a school simulation.

No, no reason to include games that will scratch the “video game set in a school” itch, if you’re putting money in the pockets of an anti-trans misogynist who sometimes moonlights in as an author determined to tank the past 20 years of goodwill his books have earned leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

No, no reason at all.
